Sunroom contractor services in Yucca Valley, CA
Yucca Valley Sunrooms & Patios is a sunroom contractor in Yucca Valley, CA, building since 2017, and our 16 services run from a simple screen room to a heated and cooled addition. Most rooms that go wrong go wrong underneath or where they meet the house, so that's where we start. The price mostly turns on the size, the kind of room, the glass and how much work your slab or deck needs. The schedule turns on permit review and on what we find under the room. I measure and check all of that on the first visit, then write up your estimate.
Sunroom additions
A sunroom addition is a new glassed-in room built onto your house, on a new footing or a sound existing slab. It's for homeowners who want real living space without a full remodel.
Four season sunrooms
Want a room you can sit in any month? A four season sunroom is insulated and heated and cooled like the rest of the house, so it works as everyday living space.
Three season sunrooms
We build three season rooms with windows but no heating or cooling, for the months you'd actually be out there. They suit homeowners who want more than a screen but don't need a full addition.
Patio enclosures
Already have a covered patio? A patio enclosure closes in the sides with screens, windows or panels, so you get a usable room under the cover you've already got.
Custom sunrooms
We build custom sunrooms shaped to your house, including odd rooflines and walls that jog. They're for homeowners a standard kit won't fit.
Sunroom construction
This is the build itself, from the base and framing to the roof, the glass and the tie-in where the room meets your house. Our own crew does the work, and I check the key steps.
Sunroom remodeling
Got a sunroom that leaks at the wall, sticks at the windows or just looks tired? We remodel it, usually starting where it meets the house, since that's where older rooms tend to fail.
Screen room installation
A screen room gives you a roofed, screened space that keeps the bugs out and lets the air through. It's the simplest room we build, and for a lot of people it's the right one.
Patio-to-sunroom conversion
If you've got a slab out back, we can turn it into a sunroom once we know it can carry walls and a roof. Some old slabs can and some need work first, and I'll tell you which on the first visit.
Deck-to-sunroom conversion
Is your deck strong enough to hold a room? We look at the posts, footings and framing first, then either build on it or tell you what has to change.
All season rooms
An all season room is built and conditioned to be used year round, so it can work as a home office, a dining room or a place for the family to gather.
Enclosed patio rooms
We close in patios with walls, windows and a door to make a finished room. It's for homeowners who want more than a screen room but less than a full addition.
Solarium installation
A solarium has glass overhead as well as on the walls, so it lets in the most daylight of any room we build. People usually want one for plants or a bright place to sit.
Patio cover installation
Need shade without walls? We build patio covers attached to the house or freestanding, and we take extra care where they meet your roof, since that's where covers tend to leak.
Sunroom design
Before anything gets built, we work out the size, the room type and how it meets your house. It starts with how you'll use the room, so you don't pay for more than you need.
Vinyl sunrooms
Vinyl sunrooms use vinyl frames that don't need painting and clean up with soap and water. They're a good fit when you want a seasonal room without a big upkeep list.

Yucca Valley homes and backyards
Yucca Valley is a high desert city in Southern California, not far from Joshua Tree National Park. Desert Christ Park looks out over it, with quiet paths among more than forty white sculptures, and the Hi-Desert Nature Museum has desert wildlife dioramas, Native American artifacts and a mini-zoo of native animals.
Every Wednesday the Town of Yucca Valley invites residents to a certified farmers market at Founders Plaza. We're based here, and the backyards we see run from older homes with a worn slab or deck to newer ones that are still bare, so a lot of our work starts with what's already out back.

Why Yucca Valley homeowners call our crew
We start under the room
I check the slab or deck and the house wall first, since that's where rooms fail.
You deal with the owner
I write your estimate myself and check in at the key steps of the build.
The right room, not the biggest
We'll steer you to a screen, seasonal or heated room by how you'll use it.
Licensed, insured, our own crew
We're licensed and insured, and our own crew does the building, not hired-out subs.

About usFrom your first call to the final walkthrough
Call or send a message
Call (760) 418-0263 or send the form and tell us a little about the room you're picturing and where it would go. We get back to you within one business day to set up a time for me to come out. A few photos of the patio, slab or deck help me show up with the right questions.
I visit and write it up
I measure, look hard at the slab or deck and the wall where the room would meet your house, and ask how you plan to use the room. Some spots need a closer look before anyone can price them, and I'll tell you when that's the case. Then you get a free written estimate with no obligation.
We handle permits and build
Once you're ready, we take care of the permit side with the city or county office for your address, which means preparing the paperwork, booking the appointment and meeting the inspector on site. Our own crew builds the room, and I check in at the key steps, especially the base and the tie-in to the house.
Walk the finished room
When the room is done, I walk it with you, open and close the windows and doors, and look over where it meets the house together. Our crew cleans up before we go, and if anything doesn't look right to you, that's the time to say so.

Common questions about sunrooms
How much does a sunroom cost in Yucca Valley?
It depends on the kind of room, because a screen room, a three season room and a heated and cooled four season room are very different builds. Heating and cooling, a glass roof and a slab or deck that needs repair all raise the price, while a simpler room on a sound base keeps it down. I give you a written number after the free visit.
How much can a contractor ask for up front on a sunroom in California?
Under state contractor board rules, a down payment on a home improvement job can be no more than $1,000 or 10 percent of the contract price, whichever is less. Later payments have to be listed in the contract and tied to work completed or materials delivered.
How long does it take to build a sunroom in Yucca Valley?
It depends mostly on the permit and on what's under the room, so there's no honest answer until I've seen the spot. The plans get reviewed before work starts and the work gets inspected as it goes, and a base that needs fixing first adds time. A screen room or patio cover usually goes faster than a heated and cooled addition.
Does a sunroom contractor need a license in California?
Yes, anyone who contracts for work on a project that needs a building permit must hold a current state contractor license, and so does anyone taking on work of $1,000 or more in labor and materials. We're licensed and insured. Yucca Valley also requires anyone doing business in the city to hold a current Business Registration Certificate, renewed every year.
Can you build a sunroom on my existing patio slab?
Often yes, but not until I've checked it, because an old slab may not be thick or level enough to carry walls and a roof. I look at its edges, its cracks and how it sits against the house, and if it needs work, that goes into the estimate instead of turning into a surprise later.
Do you guarantee your sunroom work?
Satisfaction guaranteed. The way I back that up is by doing the slow part first, the base and the tie-in to the house, because that's where I spent years fixing other people's leaks.
Should I get a screen room or a four season sunroom?
It comes down to how you'll use the room. A screen room is for open-air evenings without bugs, a three season room adds windows, and a four season room is insulated and heated and cooled like the house. If the simpler room fits how you live, I'll tell you so.
Who issues building permits for a sunroom in Yucca Valley?
The Town's Building & Safety Division issues building permits in Yucca Valley, reviews the plans and inspects the work as it goes up. Any project that disturbs the ground also has to go in with a Native Plant Permit and photos. If you plan to stop by the division yourself, call first to check its current counter hours.
